Turkish chemical exports hit a September record of $3.07 billion, up 25%

Türkiye's chemicals and chemical products sector exported $3.07 billion in September 2026, 25% more than a year earlier and the highest September figure in the sector's history, according to figures reported by Fuar Dergisi. Exports for January to September exceeded $25.8 billion, up 6.4%, and the sector keeps its $35 billion target for 2026.

Anadolu Agency, reporting remarks by Trade Minister Ömer Bolat on 3 October, put chemicals as Türkiye's second largest exporting sector in September at $3.1 billion and among the three sectors with the largest increase that month.

İKMİB chairman Vefa İbrahim Aracı said the strong September result reflected the sector's production base and export capability. In early September the sector had reported $22.8 billion of exports for the first eight months of the year.

Polyurethane systems are part of this export sector. For Turkish system houses shipping to Iraq, the Gulf, Central Asia and Europe, the September numbers are a useful read on the trade conditions in their own export markets.
