JiTPOL produces its own polyurethane mould release agents, in water-based and solvent-based versions. Alongside them and its two-component systems, it supplies the other auxiliary chemicals a polyurethane line needs to run: catalysts and chain extenders, in-mould and direct polyurethane paints, DMFA for machine cleaning, and functional additives such as glass microspheres. None of these is a system on its own. Each acts at a particular point in production: inside the reaction, on the mould surface, on the finished part or in the machine. As a polyurethane system house, we treat them as part of your process rather than as separate catalogue items.
This range is used by the same producers who run polyurethane systems: producers of cold-room and sandwich panels, refrigerators, hot-water tanks and refrigerated truck bodies, flexible and memory foam manufacturers, integral skin and RIM moulders, decorative and wood-look part producers, and spray foam contractors. Mould release agents and in-mould paints matter most in moulded work, where each part has to leave the tool cleanly and with the intended surface. Selecting an auxiliary starts with the process. For mould release, the choice between a water-based and a solvent-based agent depends on the part, the mould and how the agent is applied on your line. Catalysts and chain extenders act inside the reaction, so they have to suit the polyol blend and isocyanate they are used with; they are best specified together with the system. With glass microspheres, the question is which property you need: filling, reflectivity, volume yield in a coating or thermal insulation. Auxiliaries can be quoted on their own or in the same quote as a JiTPOL two-component system, which pairs a JiTPOL polyol blend (component A) with a matched JITIZO isocyanate (component B). Mould release agents come in water-based and solvent-based versions, and glass microspheres are packed in 25 kg bags or 1200 kg big bags. Grades, quantities and packaging for the other auxiliaries are confirmed with each quote.
Mould release is applied to the tool before the material is poured or injected, so foam, panel, integral skin and RIM parts demould cleanly and the tooling is protected. In-mould paints are applied to the mould surface so the finish forms together with the part; direct paints are applied to the polyurethane part itself. Catalysts and chain extenders work within the reaction, whichever process the system runs in. DMFA is used for cleaning processing machines.
Both versions are available, both produced in-house by JiTPOL, and neither is right for every line. The choice depends on the part being moulded, the mould and how the agent is applied in your production. Panel, foam, integral skin and RIM moulders each have different release and surface requirements.
