Self-skinning polyurethane systems that form a dense, durable outer skin with a softer foam core in a single pour. Ideal for automotive interiors and industrial components requiring a premium feel and structural integrity.
An integral skin polyurethane system makes a moulded part that forms its own skin. In a single pour you get a dense, durable outer skin over a softer foam core: the core stays flexible and open-celled, while the skin is harder but can still flex. As a polyurethane system house, JiTPOL supplies these systems as two matched components: a JiTPOL polyol blend and a JITIZO isocyanate prepolymer. In the integral skin systems the polyol blend already contains the catalysts, stabilisers and special additives; in the RIM systems it contains the catalysts and additives. The family also covers semi-rigid foam parts and black and colourless RIM systems for closed moulds.
In the automotive sector, integral skin systems are used for interior parts such as steering wheels, armrests and door panels; office furniture parts and industrial equipment grips are made the same way. Because the foam absorbs impact and damps vibration, integral and semi-rigid parts also serve as vibration-damping and noise and sound insulation components. Our RIM systems are used to produce various parts for the automotive sector and the composite industry. For these moulds we also supply mould release agents produced in-house by JiTPOL.
Choosing a system starts with the part and the mould. A steering wheel or armrest needs a hard-wearing skin over a softer core; a vibration-damping part needs a core that absorbs impact; an automotive or composite part injected into a closed mould calls for a RIM system. Then we look at your equipment (high-pressure injection or pouring), the colour of the finished part and your cycle and demoulding targets, and build a custom polyurethane formulation around that brief instead of fitting your process to a fixed product. For suitable projects, our technical team can also visit your line and run production trials with you.
Every system in this family comes as two components made for each other: a JiTPOL polyol blend (component A) and a matched JITIZO isocyanate prepolymer (component B). In the integral skin and RIM systems, component B is an MDI-based prepolymer. Standard packaging is the 200 kg metal drum, and one of our RIM systems is also available in 1000 kg IBCs. Each formulation is adapted to your process.
Integral skin parts are made in a single pour, the dense skin and softer core forming together in the mould. RIM systems are injected into closed moulds, and the family also runs on high-pressure injection moulding equipment. In the integral skin and RIM systems the catalysts and additives are already in the polyol blend, so only two components are metered. For mould preparation we also supply our own water-based and solvent-based mould release agents, produced in-house.
It is a two-component polyurethane system that forms its own skin in the mould. A single pour gives a dense, durable outer skin over a softer foam core. The skin is hard but can still flex and the core is flexible and open-celled, which is why these parts absorb impact and damp vibration. JiTPOL supplies it as a polyol blend with a matched JITIZO MDI-based prepolymer.
Both make moulded parts from a JiTPOL polyol blend and a JITIZO MDI-based prepolymer. Integral skin systems suit parts such as steering wheels, armrests or furniture components that need a durable skin over a softer core. Our RIM systems are injected into closed moulds to make various automotive and composite parts, and come in black or colourless versions.
Yes. JiTPOL produces its own mould release agents, in water-based and solvent-based versions. The right one depends on the part, the mould and how the agent is applied on your line, so describe your process in the quote form and we will propose a matching release agent together with the system.
Yes. Technical data sheets are not published on the website; we share them on request through the quote form. Tell us about the part, your mould and machine, and your expected monthly quantity, and our team will reply within 24 hours so we can agree on the system that fits your process.
For your part, mould and equipment, yes: that is how we normally work. JiTPOL draws on more than 700 formulations, so the system can be set up for your part, your mould and your injection or pouring equipment. For colour, you choose from the versions we offer: black or clear for integral skin systems, black or colourless for RIM systems. Standard packaging is the 200 kg metal drum.
Tell us about your project. Our team will respond within 24 hours.
