JiTPOL is a polyurethane system house, and we produce our own polyurethane mould release agents in-house in Bursa, Türkiye, in water-based and solvent-based versions. A release agent is applied to the tool before the material is poured or injected, so that foam, panel, integral skin and RIM parts demould cleanly and the tooling is protected. We sell our release agents to the same industries that use our two-component polyurethane systems.
Our release agents serve cold-room and sandwich panel producers on discontinuous press lines, refrigerator and hot-water-tank producers, refrigerated truck-body builders, manufacturers of moulded flexible seating foam and of memory foam, integral skin and RIM moulders, and producers of decorative and wood-look parts. They do not all need the same thing: panel, foam, integral skin and RIM moulders each have different release and surface requirements. In panel, appliance and truck-body production, the rigid foam has to come away cleanly from the tooling it touches, and the tooling has to stay protected. On integral skin parts, the skin that forms against the mould is the surface of the finished part. On decorative and wood-look parts, fine detail and grain have to come out of the mould intact.
Whether a water-based or a solvent-based release agent suits you depends on three things: the part, the mould and how the agent is applied in your production. We start from those and propose the version that fits your process. If you finish parts in the mould or after demoulding, our auxiliary range also includes in-mould polyurethane paints, applied to the mould surface so the finish forms together with the part, and direct polyurethane paints, applied to the part itself. Release agents can be quoted on their own or together with a JiTPOL two-component system. For suitable projects, our technical team can visit your line and run production trials with you.
Our mould release agents are made in-house in water-based and solvent-based versions. You can ask for them on their own or in the same quote as a JiTPOL two-component system, which pairs a JiTPOL polyol blend (component A) with a matched JITIZO isocyanate (component B). We produce both in-house, and neither is right for every line. The choice depends on the part being moulded, the mould and how the agent is applied in your production, so a water-based release agent may suit one line and a solvent-based one another.
