Kimpur receives ISCC PLUS certification for two Turkish sites

Industrial cement factory under a blue sky

Turkish polyurethane systems producer Kimpur obtained ISCC PLUS sustainability certification for its Gebze and Düzce plants on 1 May 2026, enabling it to supply certified PU systems incorporating recycled and bio-circular materials. The certification reflects rising buyer expectations for traceable low-carbon polyurethane in European supply chains — a trend Turkish exporters are actively responding to.

ISCC PLUS (International Sustainability and Carbon Certification — PLUS scope) is a third-party-audited chain-of-custody scheme for non-food bio-circular feedstock. It is the dominant accounting framework allowing producers to credibly document bio-share, recycled-share or attributed circular content in commodity intermediates and finished systems. Holding ISCC PLUS at the plant level lets Kimpur formally book BMB and recycled-attributed material into specific customer orders.

The reason Türkiye matters here is structural: a meaningful share of the country's PU systems output is exported into Europe, where buyers — automotive tier-1s, panel manufacturers, cold-chain operators — are now routinely asking for ISCC documentation. Without it, the conversation often stops before commercial. Kimpur's multi-site certification removes that friction and raises the documentation expectation across the Turkish PU sector.

Industry signal: this is among the first multi-site ISCC PLUS certifications in Turkish PU systems. Expect peer producers to follow on certification and on portfolio additions of BMB / recycled-attributed grades over the next 12–18 months.
